"lacking consideration for others; concerned chiefly with one's own personal profit or pleasure"Does that really seem like a person who would commit to death? If I haven't convinced you yet with my other post, I will give you more reasons for you to be convinced.
One girl says "To the one true friend, whose caring was the only thing that prevented this even from happening sooner"; She goes onto say "If my death makes life for one person a little more bearable, or a little more enlightened, do I really die in vain?"; then quotes Spock from Star Trek saying “The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or the one.”
If there is one person who thinks this before committing to death, how many others are there in this world?
Another man from Germany spoke in a letter. He said, at the end, "I need to thank the people who were good to me or who stuck with me till now. And I wanna say sorry for all of this!" There is no possible way to say that these people didn't think about others first because they wrote letters to their loved ones.
The second misconception is that "It is for the persons own profit." Psychology Today explains that "Suicide is their attempt to escape pain and suffering, and not burdening loved ones any longer." Some of the top reasons for suicide are: The person is depressed, they have made a mistake, or they are reaching out for help.
One woman said "Happiness is a private club that will not let me in."
Another man wrote "I think I love too much; so much that it makes me feel too sad."
Those words may seem harmful and over-exaggerated, but they aren't. When I was going through a hard time, I had friends tell me that I was "selfish" and that "if I didn't change my ways, then they would leave my side." And they weren't joking.
It is we, the people who don't commit to death, that bring the poor people the devil's contract.
Many of my friends and family tell me that "Suicide is the ultimate act of selfishness"; if you look up "ultimate act of selfishness" the first word you will see is "Suicide". The Bible states "Whoever shuts their ears to the cry of the poor will also cry out and not be answered."
and one definition of poor is "worse than usual, expected, or desirable; of a low or inferior standard or quality."
So, technically, the people who are oppressed for their "wrong doings" are considered poor. It is society wrong these people, not the other way around.
So let us remove the Beyoncé, Maroon 5, Chris Tomlin, Carrie Underwood, or whoever from our ears and listen to the cries of the poor and act upon them; let us be outgoing to help them, not turning our backs on them and forgetting we ever heard anything.
